This legal notice is to be read in conjunction with Legal Notice 94 of 2018 which is intended to transpose Directive 2015/2302 which amends Regulation 2006/2004 and Directive 2011/83/EU.  (http://www.justiceservices.gov.mt/DownloadDocument.aspx?app=lp&itemid;=28991&l;=1)

In terms of Legal Notice 94 of 2018, a travel organiser is obliged to reimburse any person for the justified cancellation or withdrawal of the package travel within 14 days from termination of the package travel contract minus a reasonable fee. However, when termination occurs between 1st March 2020 and 31^st May 2020, the obligation to refund has been extended to 6 months from termination.
