Legal Notice 117 of 2020 Temporary Street Hawker Licences and Street Hawking Distance Regulations, 2020 – 01.04.2020
Persons in possession of a valid permit to operate a stall at a farmers’ market have been automatically issued with a temporary licence as a street hawker to sell local agricultural produce. This temporary licence entitles the street hawker to have a substitute and 2 assistants, who shall wear an identification badge. The temporary licence shall remain valid until any further notice and both street hawkers and those now given a temporary licence are bound to observe the following rules:
Their vehicles cannot be parked within 100m walking distance from the entrance to any commercial premises or kiosk which is not closed or from another street hawker;
Within a circumference of 300m from each street hawker, there cannot be more that 2 other street hawkers at any one time.
Only two customers shall be served at any one time whilst other customers will have to queue and keep a distance of at least 2 metres apart from one another
