With effect from 3^rd April 2020, travel between Malta and Gozo shall be limited to persons travelling because of work, to visit family members, and for medical purposes. Commercial vehicles and merchandise are not restricted to travel between Malta and Gozo. Travels between Malta and Gozo may be further restricted by the Superintended of Public Health.

A person is allowed to travel between Malta and Gozo and vice versa in order to return to his or her ordinary residence.
