Tanya spent several years as a sole practitioner, having previously gained invaluable experience as an associate with a number of local firms. She has occupied the post of Independent Member of the Planning Authority Board for five years, and Chairman of the Planning Appeals Board for a further six.
This has placed her in good stead to advise clients about planning law and regulation in Malta and representing clients before the Malta Environment and Planning Board and its various boards and committees. However these are not her only areas of practice. Two other particular areas of legal work where Tanya has obtained extensive experience are family law and commercial drafting.The former area requires a great element of understanding, and several years of practice in this field, which includes separation proceedings, annulments and adoptions, has permitted Tanya to further excel in this field. Tanya is also currently and a substitute member of the Commission for the Administration of Justice.She has been appointed by the government on a number of boards of inquiry and has also served as a member of the Social Work Professions Board and the Commission for the Advancement of Women.Tanya is currently serving as President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Malta.Contact: tanya@vallettalegal.com
