This order which came into force on 21^st March 2020, bans travel on persons whether to or from Malta and to and from any country.

An exemption is made to the following:

Cargo flights, ferry flights, humanitarian flights and repatriation flights

Cargo ships, including container shops and ro-ro vessels carrying goods and essential commodities and tankers loaded with essential fuels.

The Superintendent of Public Health may revoke this ban where the travel of persons or goods is deemed to be essential.
